Formula and calculation logic

Annual electricity saved = annual heating electricity × estimated reduction percentage ÷ 100

Estimated annual savings = electricity saved × price per kWh

Estimated saved kilowatt-hours equal annual heating electricity multiplied by the expected reduction percentage. Savings multiply that energy by your price.

Assumptions

  • The reduction is an assumption you provide. The result excludes renovation cost, heat distribution, comfort changes, and changes in household behavior.

Does this include the cost of insulation work?

No. It estimates saved electricity and its value from your assumed reduction and electricity price. Add renovation cost separately when comparing payback.
