Formula and calculation logic

Payment fee = order revenue × payment rate + fixed payment fee

Fixed costs per order = (monthly plan + monthly apps) ÷ orders per month

Profit per order = order revenue − product and shipping costs − payment fee − app costs − allocated fixed costs

Estimate Shopify store profit per order and per month after product, shipping, payment processing, plan, and app costs.

Per-order contribution subtracts product, shipping, payment, and variable app costs. Monthly plan and app costs are allocated across monthly orders.

Assumptions

  • Use current plan and processing rates; these vary by country, plan, and provider. Use one currency throughout. Taxes, refunds, chargebacks, and advertising are excluded unless entered as per-order costs.
