Formula and calculation logic
Available study days = calendar days − days off
Daily page target = pages remaining ÷ available study days, rounded up
Estimated reading time = pages remaining ÷ pages per hour
The planner divides remaining pages by available reading days, excluding the days off you enter.
It estimates total and daily reading time from your pages-per-hour pace.
The daily target is rounded up so you have a practical whole-page goal.
Assumptions
- Every available day is treated equally; weekends and holidays only count as days off if you enter them.
- Reading speed varies by text difficulty, note-taking and prior knowledge. Use your own measured pace.
- The plan is a guide and does not account for other assignments or changes to the reading list.

Questions about this tool
How many pages should I read per day?
Divide the pages remaining by the number of days you can study before the deadline. This planner also estimates the time required at your reading pace.
Can I include rest days?
Yes. Enter the number of days you will not read; those days are removed from the available reading days.
What if my deadline is today?
Use at least one available study day. If the plan is not realistic, extend the deadline or split the reading into smaller sessions.
