Formula and calculation logic

Attendance = (classes held − absences) ÷ classes held × 100%

Projected attendance = (classes attended + future classes attended) ÷ all course classes × 100%

Current attendance = (classes held − absences) ÷ classes held.

Projected attendance includes the remaining classes and any future absences you enter.

The tool estimates the maximum additional absences before your projected attendance falls below your chosen threshold.

Assumptions

  • Every class session is counted equally. Your school may calculate attendance under different rules.
  • The threshold is entered by you; the tool does not determine legal or institutional absence rules.
  • This is a planning estimate. Confirm attendance records and consequences with your school.
