Formula and calculation logic
Estimated net annual pay = gross salary × (1 − effective tax rate) × exchange rate
Net hourly pay = net annual pay ÷ (hours per week × 52)
Cost-adjusted index = net annual pay ÷ cost-of-living index
Compare remote-job salaries across two locations using your own tax, exchange-rate, work-hours, and cost-of-living assumptions.
Each salary is reduced by the entered effective tax rate, converted with the exchange rate, and compared per month, per hour, and against cost-of-living indices.
Assumptions
- This is a user-input comparison, not a live tax model. Effective tax rates, exchange rates, and cost-of-living indices are assumptions you provide. Benefits, local deductions, social insurance detail, visas, and relocation costs are excluded.
